Kara Dodson
Lead Farmer and Executive Director
Kara’s farming career began in 2015 working with Ian and Kelly Snider learning cultivation techniques both ancestral and modern. She fell in love with horse powered field work, long days harvesting, selling to the community, and connecting with the land through the seasons. These qualities continue on with Full Moon Farm through her leadership to cultivate highly nutritious vegetables while using nuanced techniques learned over 10 years. On the horizon for Kara are offering equine therapy programs and mentoring new farmers. Her favorite veggies are two hardcore staples: carrots and cabbage!
Jacob Crigler
Co-Chair
Jacob started farming with Kara Dodson in 2015 and never looked back. Together they built Full Moon Farm from the ground up into a successful and loved business. Sawing and milling trees, building barns and greenhouses, raising horses and other livestock, and of course growing lots of veggies, Jacob has learned countless skills and life lessons along the way. Carpentry became not only a necessary skill but also another avenue of employment and joy for him. He is a passionate rock climber, skier, musician, cook, and husband. Jacob’s favorite vegetable is broccoli.
